Divi e Barbari.

Attori e fotografi tra Costa Azzurra e Dolce Vita

curated by Matteo Giacomelli

Where the myth ends and where life begins. Fifty original vintage photos tell, between the first half of the fifties and the first half of the seventies, the birth and affirmation of an aesthetic of the modern image made up of myths and collective rituals between France and Italy without solution of continuity. From gala evenings in Cannes, to off-set stars in Monte Carlo and the French Riviera. From the Rome of Fellini's Dolce Vita to the kidnapping of Paul Getty. A new aesthetic based on spontaneous photography, the result of confidence, stalking and sometimes direct clashes, which touches on the theme of privacy and voyeurism.

THE PHOTOGRAPHERS:
France: EDWARD QUINN
