Spazio e Immagini takes part to   VINTAGE PHOTO PARMA, the new section of Mercanteinfiera dedicated to vernacular and vintage photography. Vernacular and/or anonymous photography is attracting increasing interest and a growing following within the international photography collecting community, thanks to the freshness and inventiveness of the images- which serve as vital records that effectively bridge the gap between fine art photography and photojournalism.

During the fair, Spazio e Immagini will present three special collections dedicated to vernacular photography, accompanied by  three handmade zine-style catalogues:

-       A collection devoted to the Folk  Art of Circus: Acrobats, jugglers, and traveling performers in Europe between 1930 and 1960

-       A collection on 20th-century Italian Vernacular Photography

-       A collection dedicated to : Photographer’s shadow in 20th-century Italian Vernacular Photography

Additionally, for Mercanteinfiera, Spazio e Immagini is offering a wide selection of original vintage vernacular photos dating from the late 19th century to the 1990s, alongside a series of original vintage photos by known artists covering various themes and subjects.
